New release puts BoardEx even further ahead
On 21 November 2009, BoardEx launched its latest release of its relationship management service. The release features a vastly greater database of business leaders, a new ability to search individuals based on the revenue of the organisations they have worked for, and an improved Point 2 Point service for identifying your hidden connections.
“This release increases the distance between BoardEx and any other service purporting to do the same job,” said James Daly, CEO. “Our clients tell us BoardEx is core to their relationship management strategy, opening up opportunities in a way that nothing else can.”
The latest release contains profiles of 380,000 of the world’s business leaders, with proprietary software that identifies the links between them. “That’s more than double the number we had just a year ago,” adds Daly. “It’s a huge leap in the value we deliver to our clients.”
BoardEx has also added revenue figures to its corporate summaries and upgraded its search engine to allow them to be used as a key component in searching for individuals – a feature demanded by executive search specialists in particular.
Point 2 Point searches are also improved. Connections between companies can now be identified even where individuals have worked at each company at different points in their careers. For example, if an executive worked for Company A then subsequently for Company B, this will now be shown as a valid, and potentially highly valuable, connection. In addition, further development work has changed how results are generated by the system, giving much faster performance of Point 2 Point searches.
